Cauliflower Cakes and Drops

Image
Cassie visited Pinterest and created these cauliflower quick snack dishes: Cauliflower cakes and drops. They were so good I finished two cakes sprinkled with shredded cheese back to back and some of the cauliflower drops drizzled with ranch dressing.  --Frances Ohanenye maintains this site. Sweet Potato to Go

Image
We went out to eat at a nice restaurant after a three-hour photo shoot. Needless to say, we were ravished. Everything else was great except for the sweet potato side dish. (I guess a restaurant cannot please everyone because of the different individual taste and health preferences.) Without a word to each other, Cassie and I asked for one take-out container, dumped the sweet potato in there and brought it home. I livened it with a fistful of raisins, several shakes of cinnamon, a slap of nutmeg, and served it in ramekins. Now, we can eat it!       --Frances Ohanenye maintains this site. Shrimp and Broccoli Are the Best Combo

Image
What more can I say? White rice has a secret to it turning out just right. Start with rice as the base, scoop that delicious marriage of broccoli and shrimp, and hug them with French-cut green beans.   --Frances Ohanenye maintains this site. Can You Say Healthy?

Image
Potatoes and salmon cooked in the slow cooker while I recuperated from the biopsy, couldn't do too much moving around. That's for sure. Incredibly delicious, healthy, and well rounded. I keep saying that meat is too overdone. (Every pun intended.)     --Frances Ohanenye maintains this site. Meat Is So Overdone! Lenten Drive Still on!

Greens from the earth: String beans and spinach cooked in home-made fish broth need no stew or fattening sauce. Scoop the spinach on the white rice, remove one yolk out of the two eggs, and have yourself a low cholesterol, light, nutritious, and very tasty lunch or dinner. --Frances Ohanenye maintains this site. Black-eyed Peas Sandwich--Yum!

Image
I always have scooped black-eyed peas with a slice of bread. Today, however, and looking for a healthy snack, something in me was very inventive. I laid a slice of bread down on a paper plate, figuring that if it tasted bad, I would hurl both the concoction and the plate into the trashcan. Well, let me tell you! The surprise was mine! The black-eyed peas sandwich was so delicious I had to remind myself to take the pictures several times before the food vanished. Oh, my! I have discovered a low-fat, low-calorie meatless sandwich !         --Frances Ohanenye maintains this site. Finding Good Food on the Day of the Biopsy

Image
Still observing my Lenten resolve not to eat meat. Found this incredible breakfast nook with an equally incredible menu at the Marietta Square. The food and tea left indelible marks in my head, heart, and stomach. Handle-less tea cups that are not even heat conducive. First time I stumbled on TeaForte was in the Marietta Square at the Sugar Cakes restaurant. As Oprah said, "If you are lover, this (Tea Forte) is as good as it gets." --Frances Ohanenye maintains this site.
